Really good stay - value for money

Location, pool, house was very well.

We had the idea that there was a lot of rats / animals under the roof in our stay (nr 7). So during the night there was a lot of small steps going on.. Breakfast was fine but a bit simple.

Amazing stay, besides for the beasts maybe

Really nice place, cool swimming pool (great temperature, amazing breakfast. Well maintained, great pricing for the scooters and they worked well. Amazing AC and confortable beds, shower water was at the perfect temperature. Overall everything was amazing ! Also the cool owner

Holes in the roof of the bathroom. We found a big spider running in the shower. Didn't feel good in that bathroom, always scared some beasts would get into it. We saw a snail on the roof. A girl said she had a rat in her roof and changed place. Also, there was a strange animal making a big sound at given times who woke us up several time during the night (my mother got waken up 3 times). Sound acoustic could be improved I guess but maybe that's part of the experience. (I personally slept very well)

All the staff at Royal Retreat were so helpful and assisted us with everything. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to mushroom bay but has several restaurants close by. The hotel was clean and great value for money. Would stay again.

Little gem with a big bang for the buck!

There wasn't a thing I didn't like about our stay at Royal Retreat Villas. The small cluster of well appointed villas are desirably located close to beaches and eateries. The grounds are lush with well maintained tropical gardens lending to a very Bali vibe. The staff, notably Dewi, go up and beyond. Without any reservations, I highly recommend Royal Retreat Villas for both both families and couples.

A wonderful place where nothing is too much trouble

Lovely cosy accommodation and some issues we had with the toilet were promptly dealt with. Thank you! The tasty breakfast was served with a warm smile from Dewi every morning and Ketut was exceptional in helping us to get back to the mainland after storms had shut the port. Couldn't have done it without him. Thank you so much.

We loved our stay! We were able to organise to rent a bike for each day of our stay which helped us easily explore the island. It was also possible to have breakfast taken to our room. No complaints at all!

Amazing, peaceful luxurious stay

LOVED it here!! The huts were so lovely, clean and such a comfortable bed. The staff are so nice and made sure you had everything to make your stay comfortable, breakfast was good with choice of eggs or pancakes and hot drinks or smoothies. Would definitely definitely stay here again! We hired a scooter for our stay and we got to everywhere in 10/15 minutes so would definitely recommend hiring a scooter if you feel comfortable (we found it ok here as there’s mainly only scooters on the roads).

We stayed at Royal Retreat Villa’s for an entire week and absolutely loved it! Especially the staff was amazing. We did a private snorkeling tour with the owner Ketut which was an unforgettable experience!

Highly recommended, we felt home instantly

We had a perfect stay for a full week! The owner but lso the staff were amazing. Dewi who made us breakfast every morning was the sweetest and most accomodating person. Also the male staff were great! The owner Ketut took us on a snorkling trip and within an hour we already saw Manta's, Dolphins and a turtle. Also a lot to do in the neighborhood. The island is easy to get around with a motorbike which you can rent effortless at the property for a fair price. They arranged the taxi from Ubud, boat and transportation on the island upon checking in and also our way back to Nusa Dua. Highly recommended!

The rooms could use some renovation. The shower in our first room was leaking so had a lack of water pressure and the doors were difficult to close. That aside, our stay was an absolute 10!

Short but sweet stay in a beautiful surrounding. Staff are amazing and so helpful.

The room was beautiful surrounded by a garden and the staff, especially dewi were so welcoming and happy to help. The owner Ketut also took us snorkelling in the morning to see the beautiful coral and fish which was an amazing experience.

Can't wait to go back to the Royal Retreat

We enjoyed 4 nights here for our honeymoon: Amazing service, everyone knew your name Scooter rental was reliable and cheap Location was perfect for us - in between lots of different cool spots, close to Mushroom Bay, Sunset Point, etc. It was in a quiet area that wasn't overly touristy but within walking and biking distance of many tourist attractions. Great restaurants within minutes walk. Rooms were as advertised and amazing Bed was super comfy and king size Robes! How luxurious - it's the small things. Very well maintained grounds - people always working to keep things looking clean and tidy Delicious breakfast with choice of lime or watermelon juice and omelettes, eggs, pancakes, tea/coffee - all freshly cooked after we sat down

The bathroom lighting was quite dark but overall the bathroom was super beautiful. The water in the shower was not very hot.
